Say no to flash

I've only just gotten up the balls to give my flash a rest and try to get some nautral colors. Those flashes start as crutches and quickly get evil...

Sometimes you will screw it up, and sometimes an unexpected result will actually make you happy. All of these colors make me happy.

* All of these pictures were taken with a hand-held Nikon D70 and no flash. None of them have been post-processed (except for the cropping at Tabblo).

I like the shot you got of the kid with the straw... did you use a fisheye lense?

Thanks. That was indeed a fisheye. I should also point out that my claim that "no flash was used" was not quite right. The D70's built-in flash fired on that shot for fill which was unintentional. I just liked the composition and color of the brim enough to include it anyway.

Nice! Honestly, I hardly used any flash for pictures especially with enough lightings around. Great pictures.
