That evening in August 2006

I've reformatted this tabblo to show my borders completely, now that I've learned how to do so. As is obvious to those who had seen this one before, the baby went out with the bathwater, the baby being the orderly presentation and the wide-wide formatting. But for now I'm fond of those borders. - 7/15/2007

I agree with all the above. But, my question is how did you set the width for the photos they are wider than any others i have seen on the tabblos. The width adds to the impact. Thank you for sharing and hope the bugs were not too hard on you.

Tnanks for the comments.

For Sophiasees: this marsh area is in Massachusetts, but I can't be more specific.

For BDoyle: I agree about the width, and I hope someone can tell me how I achieved what I achieved, because it happened by accident as I was making the Tabblo; that is to say, I didn't do anything explicitly to make these photos wider. It's a mystery to me. But once it was done, I liked it. The only difference in the photo themselves from others I have put on Tabblo is that they have borders. Could that be it?

Stunning shots with great light and clarity. The layout could be one of those accidental things. I've had a couple recently go MEGA wide on me... Whatever it is, it's a great Tabblo

These are beautiful scenic shots. Love the hues and the reflections. After reading about the bugs, i could feel the place much more. Ouch..that must have been very irritating and uncomfortable.I know the feeling. Happens to me all the time in my garden in the evenings :o)
I too was quite amazed at the width of the tabblo. i have seen this in one other tabblo and was wondering how it's done. Because my photos always sort of square out. The entire photo never really fits. Great job on this tabblo. I like the framing of the pictures as well with the matching colours :o)

So serene. So tranquil. I can imagine sitting there after a long day. just listening to the crickets chirp while I sip a cool drink and contemplate the sunset. Sounds like heaven.

WOW!!! Nice shots.

And I can tell the little secret how tabblo made your pics appear panoramic even though you did not shoot them panoramic. While creating the tabblo and placing your pics, you may have stretched them from the side rather than from the corner edge to make them appear big. This action basically elongates the viewing frame around the picture. The viewing frame or a window, even though is transparent to users, limits the amount of picture that can be seen through it. When you stretch from the side, the picture increase its size in proportion (both width & height) but because of this viewing frame, it appears panoramic. Hope I am making sense. :D

The best analogy is - its like placing a 8x10 picture in a 8x10 frame but with 5x7 mat so that your picture appear 5x7.

Tabblo critique group: Wonderful photos! I'm glad you endured the bug biting to capture these. I find that the individual photos themselves are much more impressive when you view them larger. That way you can really get to enjoy the colours and lighting, and therefore, have a better sense of that 'otherworldly' atmosphere. I also like the full framing of your originals better as well; again, they have a much more dramatic effect than how you've presented them in here. Also, the cropping of them cuts off the frames that you've added, which I find a bit annoying; my thinking being, that you wouldn’t partially frame a picture so why present them as such. I hope you don’t feel that I’ve been unduly critical. I really DO like your photos, and just think that they could be better presented.

Rahul makes a great point, but clearly knows how to do something I don't - how to make the entire photo show up in a tabblo. Whatever I do, the photo gets cropped, so if I have applied a border to the individual photos, as I like to do, only one or two sides will have the border in the tabblo. Can anyone help me with this?
