An UPSCALE Neighborhood in Shanghai Suburb

Pirating software may not be a big deal in China. But copying houses is, especailly when it is done massively! And it is not uncommon.

These look like town houses - multi-family dwellings. The first image almost looks like a tilt lens image, as if it were a close up of a toy lego house. Though I don't have the link anymore it reminded me of a web photo series of Mexico City. It too has some very large communities of middle class houses, brightly colored and starkly similar. I wonder what these places will be like in 25 years. Will they have the same charm?

Like the way you worked through the series, single home to neighborhood. From a planning perspective it appears to have walkability and open space/park. Don't know what its long term future will be, but as long as it is not dominated the automobile, it should remain viable.

Love how you did the progression too ... from the single to the neighborhood. What a cool place to live. :)

The last pic is the classic mass production - made in China. Great shots!
