Welcome to Druridge Bay on the coast of Northumberland. Mature sand dunes and miles of beautiful white sand, Druridge Bay stretches in one magnificent curve from the old village of Hauxley in the north to Cresswell in the south. Such is the span of Druridge, visitors can happily walk in isolation disturbed only by the sound of the waves breaking on the shore or the cry of terns diving for sprat. |

I visited this beach on a summer evening on my way home from work. The light was just getting to that interesting angle and I loved the different absract textures it was painting on the sand. |

Of course, the old trick of switching the camera's white balance opened up a whole new avenue of opportunity! |

If you're ever in the north of England in the middle of summer and want somewhere quiet to relax, this place comes highly recommended. |
