HOOD RIVER ON A HARLEY - Part I

The 2009 Apple Run  Hood River, Oregon

All roads  lead to

<---------------------

This is my friend Mark - he has been riding to Hood River every Autumn for 20+ years... He calls it "THE APPLE RUN"

This year I got to ride along with him and a bunch of his friends~

The voyage of discovery lies not  in finding new landscapes but in having new eyes~

Marcel Proust

Mark says that this same dog has been here for years and years... Sweet doggy~

What a wonderful day...through the Columbia Gorge and then up and over Mt. Hood to come home~

Thank you for the awesome day Mark~

Love those heated vests and all of your friends!

I guess this makes me a Welsh Biker Chick...  :^)

Way to go, Rhonda. I must watch 'Easy rider' and 'The wild one' again. Neat leather chaps.
I imagine you're baking dozens of apple pies now:)

This is Great!! It is so different from your usual Tabblos and yet it has your mark firmly on it. You have so cleverly intermingled the Harleys and the apples. Enjoy your Halloween!! I look forward to part 2!

Very funny and nice!!! It is very funny for me because ever I read "Harley Devison" I remember my cousin Martin. He has born in the States, in California, he lived there all his lif until 2003 or 2005, I don´t remember. When he was a teenager, he visited us, his familiy, in Argentina. But, in spite his parents are from here he dodn´t speak Spanish... or speaked only a little. He loved the Harley Davison and he always said that his dream was to have "un moto Harley Davison". It is "una moto", it is femenin in Spanish, it souns very strange in masculine... He adored the film with Peter Fonda... Now, he is living in the mountains, in Patagonia... I guess he has a jeep not a Harley!!

Looks like a great way to get your apples. Strapping on your leathers, brisk wind in your face, the sounds of "Born to be Wild" churning your head and the "gang" by your side. Oh, you tango loving biker chick, killer combination. Wonderful shots.

Hmmm...tango and riding..I do love the wave or nod that bikers give each other! Hi Daan, yes, for sure - I wouldn't go riding with just anybody...you want someone who knows their stuff and is not a showoff~ hope you get to ride someday - you would love it I think! Thanks Bobbie I think you tend to remember the journey because you're right there out in nature with the scent of wood smoke and freshness~~ :^) Hi Tianna, make that "BIKER MAMA" honey....pretty fun :^D Love you too.
