"Love is like the moon, when it does not increase, it decreases"

A GOOD FLORIDA FRIEND OF MINE TOOK THE MOON SHOTS & LOVES ASTRONOMY

“What can we gain by sailing to the moon if we are not able to cross the abyss that separates us from ourselves?

This is the most important of all voyages of discovery, and without it, all the rest are not only useless, but disastrous...”

~Thomas Merton

NOPE, NOT THIS ONE! ....BUT IT SURE MAKES A PRETTY HEART!

So Many Shapes and Sizes of ...GARNETS. - All so divine!

"These gems have life in them: their colors speak, Say what words fail of." ~George Eliot

According to legend, Garnet promotes long-lasting love, gives its wearer guidance, prevents depression...(partial list)

Garnet is given as a symbol of: consistency, perseverence, and good health.

Garnet is used as a power stone. Many energy healers say that it supports the basic chakra which is associated with power and prosperity. (and it was also my dear Mom's birthstone - January)

~ from a site named "Jewelry Mall"

I've always preferred semi-precious gemstones to precious most especially 'MOONSTONE', amber, amethyst, crystal/quartz over diamond, and GARNET over ruby. The garnet's color is so much richer deeper in depth of color. ~ PMC

YUP...THAT'S THE ONE - way up there on top!! ;-)

Wow, Patty, for a moment I thought you'd got yourself a super-duper telephoto lens. Your friend in Florida certainly has the 'power'. The garnets remind me of amber, that they sometimes (as you well know) find with insects trapped inside. And so true, we have much to do and sort out on terra firma before we explore a piece of dead rock again. Nice set.

What can we gain by flying to the moon .... well, a different and strange world ... fascinating - desolate - a world to spin stories around. I still think the journey of the Voyager II was an amazing event in science. These photos of the farthest away planets of our solar system after 12 years will always stay in my mind in there beauty. Repairs in space without a person on board. It was unbelievable then and it still is now.

There is a dreamworld within us and one out there in far away places. And I believe they both have a right to exists. Especially when dreams are that beautiful.
