These steel sculptures are found through out the Anza Borrego Desert in Borrego Springs, Ca.

Each weighs in between 800 and 1000 pounds.

Ricardo Breceda is the artist.

oh my- driving for miles through the desert, under a scorching sun, no A/C in the car and out of bottled water, you could mistake these for real wild animals!! first and last pics are "dope"! missed ya, Jude!

It's a very creative open air museum - the sculptures are great and your photos make them look even more interesting.

Jude been through the desert on a horse with no name...and then she saw these faboulous sculptures. Love that last shot...erie yet artisitc.
