Wagner Falls
 
One of my favorites, this waterfall is easily accessible and with the roar of all the water flowing over the rocks, it has a lulling effect and I just want to sit and listen to the water for hours.
 
Like a staircase, the water cascades down in sheets of white.
 
Parts of the rock are mossy beneath the water, and other parts are constantly being worn away from the flow.
 
Rocks peeking through the flowing water are my favorite things.
 
A smaller creek that joins Wagner creek is even beautiful in and of itself.
 
Many years ago we carved our initials in the bench here.
 
The irregular bed creates interesting rapids and whirlpools as the water rushes over it.
 
A stairway of tree roots leads to another trail I've never ventured on, but one day I shall.
 
As we were about to leave, I saw a large commotion at the top of the falls and zoomed in to see a blue heron had decided to do some fishing.
 
I caught him catching a fish!
 
This is the smug look of a heron who has just eaten dinner at the beautiful Wagner Falls buffet.

i love waterfalls! i used to visit one near our place, just a 30 min drive. miss those days... nice set sarcasma! congratulations! :)
