Last week, fate handed me a gift for my birthday. I was already thrilled to be celebrating in San Francisco (a special treat from Scotty), when I realized that Allan (ABKING) who is actually from Salem, Oregon, was also there!  We managed to pick a time that worked for all of us, found a sweet cafe between our neighborhoods, and met for lunch.   Between yummy bites and wonderful conversation, we all pulled our cameras out and more or less dominated the space for a few minutes, snapping pics and comparing cameras. Plenty of natural light, great ambiance, a patient server, and a well placed mirror provided the perfect ingredients for a memorable Tabblo meet.

 

 Title credits go to Allan, a clever play on the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival (stay tuned for more tabblos) held at Golden Gate Park that very same weekend.

the best title credits ALWAYS go to Allan!!! I LOVE THIS TABBLO MEET!!! I mean, PK and The King himself!! and it looks like you had such a ball, with the cameras, the mirror, comparing shots- classic tabbloer stuff!! I also LOVE the shots with Scott getting in on the act!! and it's so Abking/PKeener to meet at a groovy cafe in SF no flowers in their hair... two of my favorite tabblo photographers, DOPE!!!!

DOnt you love a tabblo meet? I recently met up with Dyowi & Marius. We talked for hours. Haha I love these snaps. You guys did take over the cafe. And the light...perfect. Oh...lavander suits you, Pam. :)

Hey, Leftie! I am not sure how many are Scott's, because a lot of them are mine in the mirror. It is confusing..the warm toned ones are his because he uses MANUAL mode! lol. and gets much better photos than i do. The first 7 re all mine...I was so happy to get that first shot! So ALLAN!

It was so much fun and I can't wait to see Allan's!

Hey Joaqs! I do love the Tabblo meet! I can just imagine your conversation! allan and Scott and I coud have talked for hours, as well, but we had a pane to catch! Hopefully we will meet again and do some walk around shooting with our cams. You never know.

You really did take over the Cafe....Love Scott sitting back and quietly getting the shots, and your mirror shots add an extra cool dimension to the photos....Lots of great energy happening here...all those great smiles from you and Allan make this a happy, joyful meetup.

What's better: the Tabblo or the actual meeting? I got to be there and meet Pam and Scott. Followers of Pam's tabblos have seen Scott in action-in his shop, playing his guitar. Conversation was wonderful, cameras were snapping, food was good. Real-life Pam is even better than virtual Pam!
