This is Netball.

Netball is played by 14 girls who are separated into two teams trying to win points by scoring the ball into a hoop.

It is something like basketball, but they way it is played is that once the player holds the ball, she must pass it to other players or score a goal without much foot movement

Normally in my country, netball is generally secured for the girls as football/soccer is for boys. That is how it was during primary school through secondary school.

However, nowadays a lot have changed. Boys now are playing netball. It might sound weird and unbelieable at first, but in my opinion this gives a whole new vibe to the world of netball, which I think was dull previously.

With the boys in the game, netball seems much more fast paced with a little pinch of 'macho-ism' thrown into the game.

I guess this is because they jump much more higher, throws and runs after the ball faster and these guys are not afraid of bumping and colliding at high speed with each other!

At this moment, Cobra is one of the leading men's team in this field.

Photography notes:

Most of the pictures here are taken using my 50mm/1.8f prime lens. It's better than using kit lens because it's much more faster and allows more light to enter. Not much editing done on the brightness or levels of the pictures, however a lot of cropping was needed because I can't zoom into the scene.

It was a good first sports photography outing. People even asked me if I was covering for the local newspaper. LOL!
