Switzerland

 

 

 

In 1875, about 40 families originating from the Cantão of Valais, Switzerland, and surrounding areas arrived in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Among them was my family: Gedoz. The photos of this tabblo were taken by Carlos R. Branco, a dear friend from Portugal who was recently in the Comunas de Cantão of Valais and Cantão of Berna. As I can not go to Switzerland, he brought Switzerland to me.

 

 

Em 1875, cerca de 40 familias oriundas do Cantão de Valais, Suíça, e regiões próximas chegaram ao Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. Entre elas estava a minha familia: Gedoz. As fotos deste tabblo foram feitas por Carlos R. Branco, um querido amigo de Portugal que esteve recentemente nas Comunas de Cantão de Valais e Cantão de Berna. Como eu não posso ir à Suiça, ele trouxe a Suíça para mim.

Solange, o Carlos já esteve diversas vezes na Suíça e diz que a região do Cantão de Valais é muito, muito bonita. Às vezes me manda fotos, mas desta vez, quando vi a coleção, não aguentei e resolvi dividir estas maravilhas com os amigos do Tabblo.

Neusinha it's one of the most beautiful countries in the world. I was several times there in the 70's and 80's.
it's clean and a nice people. Wonderful landscape from the east to the west. From north to south.
Traveling by train it's wonderful. the landscape chance every few minutes.

Ces images sont superbes, elles nous parlent d'autant plus que nous aimons la Suisse depuis de longues années. Nous sommes particulièrement attachés au canton du Valais ( Martigny, Fully et notre merveilleux Chiboz), pour y avoir séjournés durant les vacances d'été, plus de 20 ans!!!!

I must thank Carlos for this ! It is indeed a Heaven on Earth ! Cool Land of flowers, Lakes, Valleys, Farms, Snow, Mountains, Cows & Bells !!!... where Nature blooms in full mood ! I have been to Villars, Interlaken, Geneva, Luzern, Mt.titlis.. but this tabblo makes me want to see more and more of this beautiful Country, I'd love to go there again and again...Thank you so much for sharing this beauty !

Eduardo, obrigado. Você também acha difícil acreditar em tamanha organização... eu também. No livro de 130 anos de Imigração Suíça no Rio grande do Sul, constam relatos de que os primeiros suíços a chegar por aqui, trabalhavam em forma de cooperativa, obecedendo critérios de respeito ao vizinho e ajuda mútua para as famílias que compunham uma sociedade. Por estes relatos pode-se observar uma organização impecável. Lendo esse livro até acredito.
