Wildthing said at 3:47 a.m. on Sep 27, 2009: If anything I have said has in any way contributed to your decision to not post tabblos, then I am sorry, Jorma. I sincerely hope that you have a change of heart and continue bringing us your views of the world. The site is surely for fun, and to display nice images, and you have always provided excellent work. Any comments I leave are spontaneous, and well meant. I'm sure that sometimes the difference in language can cause misunderstanding. Andre is right: Don't listen to Mike. Best wishes.
Swedfinn said at 6:03 a.m. on Sep 27, 2009: Thank You Jesugoz and Andre` I need little time to ventilate my brain office.thats what it is all about.
Swedfinn said at 6:06 a.m. on Sep 27, 2009: Thanks Mike! Your innocent words were not meant to start all this. They just made me feel like Hamlet on Tabblo. Thats my own fault.
Eduardo.affonso said at 6:39 a.m. on Sep 27, 2009: My dear Jorma: I don't know what happened, but I think I understand how you feel. I needed to leave this site for a while, some time ago, and that was the best thing I could have done. Sometimes you need to take some fresh air (ventilate your brain, as you say), see things from a different perspective.
Virtual world is a trap - it is so absorbing, so demanding, you can spend (or should I say "waste"?) a lot of time here, instead of enjoying real life. I've noticed I spend more time posting and commenting photos than taking photos!...
But as Mike says, this site is for fun. I had some real bad momments here, being harassed and offended by people I never met, whose real names I don't know. People who didn't understand (or deliberately misunderstood) my words and my projects. I felt so uncomfortable under their attacks, and so frustrated, I decided to quit. But after some time I realized I really missed some relationships, I would like to know what some people had to say about some of my pics, I was curious to see what some people were photographing. I balanced pros and cons, and... started logging and posting again.
Take your time, enjoy your real life, take lots of photos (photography is sort of a dialogue between you and the world - sometimes we need to stay in silence, but sometimes the world has so much to say...) and come back whenever you wish. You are one of the kindest people I have met in this corner of the virtual world, I think I have seen every single tabblo you posted, and you were always very welcome to mine.
No surprise Gretel has fallen in love with you...
Swedfinn said at 8:18 a.m. on Sep 27, 2009: Thank you Eduardo, my friend!! We need to talk seriously sometimes instead of giving "nice" compliments The situation is as you say, I could not have said it better. I have not been attacked by people here, yet, but missunderstandings here have made think that it is only matter of time when it commes if i dont do something about it in time. i cannot change people but I can change myself, viewing things from different perspective. Doing other things and meeting a real world around me is what i need now for sure. Tell my cheers to Gretel if you happpen to see her around. I admire her spirituality and humor and her virtual appearance of course!!!
HtD said at 10:30 a.m. on Sep 27, 2009: I hope we see you back so soon as possible on tabblo.com
Pattymaryclare said at 10:52 a.m. on Sep 27, 2009: yes, my dear friend Jorma... as Eduardo said, ATTACKS AND MISUNDERSTANDINGS CAN happen here as in any other community. Sometimes the 'attacker' can feel like he/she is being attacked when it's merely a defensive and VERY HURT defence. All in the name of good fun so they say! Yes and I TOO have taken ' chill pill' break from Tabblo for likely the very same reason he mentions! The unfortunate part of 'communication' is that the written word can always be misunderstood whereas verbal (tho sometimes faulty too!) is much more effective communication - we don't have that cabability here! As Mike said and I agree, sometimes even a simple language barrier can cause a whole LOT of hurt, unintentionally and innocently. I'm glad you'll still be 'lurking around' LOL and yes I find Tabblo 'can be' addicting tho' and I've kind of 'fallen off' publishing and/or taking photos so much in part, due to time consumption. We all ebb and flow...come and go........luv ya and hope your teaching learning musical and other interests KEEP YOU HAPPY BALANCED and FULFILLED. xoxoxox (AS YOU KNOW -wink) your loyal friend Patty xoxoxox
DocEna said at 10:54 a.m. on Sep 27, 2009: Jorma hope to see you soon..I like your comments and your photos depict the way you see your part of the world..When you're feel comfortable ,come back friend.

I am touched for all response that I have received from You my friends and all those wordless visitors here. Feel free to visit here and leave comments ormessages ANY TIME!
NeusinhaGedoz said at 10:46 a.m. on Sep 28, 2009: Cool, very cool, Jorma. Congratulations for this tabblo.
Swedfinn said at 12:18 p.m. on Sep 28, 2009: Thank You NeusinhaGedoz! This is propably my final one here...as it seems now...
Swedfinn said at 12:21 p.m. on Sep 28, 2009: Sorry,Enaldo!!! I mixes You with Eduardo!! You are worth a warm Thanks for everything as well as he does.
Swedfinn said at 12:23 p.m. on Sep 28, 2009: It is my typo season here, sorry.ENALDO! I Mixed Your name with Eduardo!
Eduardo.affonso said at 12:26 p.m. on Sep 28, 2009: Just one last statement: removing some of my favorite tabs is unforgiveble... Where else will I see the folk dancers, that wonderful red building by the river and so many other pics? Ok, hope you have just made them private, so they can become public again - in a near future. Enojoy your tabblo vacations, my friend - and come back full of energy, new photos, new ideas.
By the way, the great problem of "talking seriously" instead of just leaving "nice comments" is the high probability of misunderstanding. Artists are usualy very sensitive (photographers, even amateur photographers as most of us, can be considere artists, right?). I won't tell anyone his/her photos are mediocre because most people just want to share the photos they take, they don't aim to create real art. So there's nothing wrong when they phtograph their gardens, pets, kids, neighborhood - how many of us can do what James (Sirnicolay) and Thierry (to mention just a few) do? How many of us can write with the elegance of Mike or Woody (Siagian)? There is room for talented photographers and for ameteurs here - and that's why I keep posting.
I haven't seen Gretel lately, but I often have a beer with Wilbur, and I will tell him :-)
Swedfinn said at 4:43 p.m. on Sep 28, 2009: Well, this site is for many purposes and it is good that way as long as people remain"kind" and "nice" and tolerate each others. There are some very talented photographs and writers here you included, but there is room for everyone to give and take. You all have given me alot. i have learned a lot of photography from you , seen places around the world i never have possibility to visit and glimpses of different cultures and history. this site has been the" Library of the World" for me and every contribution in it is valuable. I will continue visit this site and look around and enjoy of it contents and encourage the creators. I am sorry for all those who chose one of my tabblos as favourite. they dont exist any more! The extern memory where I kept originals crashed just a few days before i made my sorti. my tabblos and images are gone but You will stay and it is good to have a place where we can take cheap tours around the world as well : )
Swedfinn said at 4:46 p.m. on Sep 28, 2009: The extern memory crash and my sorti happened in 48 hours but there is not any connection between failures.
Eduardo.affonso said at 5:02 p.m. on Sep 28, 2009: Well, let's practise dettachment and not mourn the lost files, photos, comments. Crashes happen, so I suggest you to backup your backup from now on (that's what I do, after having lost everything I had in my hard disk). I really don't know which comment (or non-comment) made you take your decision, but I am sure no one of your friends meant to hurt you.
Hope someone from Finland will join Tabblo and feed us with images & sotires of this lovely (yet freezing) place (Helsinki was que coldest place I had ever visited, until I made it to Quebec last December).
Keep in touch, my friend!
Swedfinn said at 6:11 p.m. on Sep 28, 2009: My extern mmemory is now in the shop i bought it and they will tell me soon if there is any hope for saving images. I have learned my lesson well and will have more back ups in the future. There are some people from Finland in Tabblo." Krisu" is one of them and post tabblos, " regularly. She is a good friend to "Debdog." I have not any contact to her.i know only that she lives in the same town where my mother lives. It may sound curious but i have lost most of my finnish contacts in Finland. When I came back to Finland from sweden after 30years I left my social network there. Here I am "swede" for finns who dont know me and Swedfinn in the tabblo..
Chilla said at 2:41 a.m. on Sep 29, 2009: Well, Jorma, having read all the comments here, I feel very sad that you feel unable to post here any more. I for one always enjoyed your work, and your comments when you visited my Tabblos and I thank you for that. I remember well when Eduardo took a break and I felt the same, it is like a friend moving away in the real world, but he came back and I hope that you too will feel able to post on Tabblo again. Take care, Celia
Swedfinn said at 3:47 a.m. on Sep 29, 2009: Thank You Celia for understanding!! I cant say anything about come back right now, but I will view and comment tabblos here like I did before.
Eduardo.affonso said at 9:19 a.m. on Sep 29, 2009: Dear Jorma, you are probably a classic case of multiple (or, at least, double) personality... Being both Swede and Finn seems to be usual in Finland (I met some Swedfinns in Helsinki). Hope you can enjoy the best of both nationalities (Swedes are widely known for their liberality, Finns for their responsability).
Swedfinn said at 1:45 p.m. on Sep 29, 2009: Well, finnish and swedish are the official languages in Finland. In my neighbourhood there are 2 cities with swedish minority. I do my shopping there in swedish and when i visit my mother in Tampere I must use finnish. It is privilegium to have 2 cultures and 2 countries where i feel home. I enjoy my bilinguility. I asked once my son who lives inSweden in Gothenburg: "Do you feel yourself more like swede than finn?" he answered:" Mostly i feel like citizen of Gothenburg!" "But if there is hockeymatch Finland- Sweden I am finn." I can say the same about myself.
Debdog said at 9:59 p.m. on Sep 30, 2009: :) i love your comments and esp about the hockey!!! :) just like I am Canadian born, but live in the US...however i still point out I am Canadian. :) I do wish i had worked harder to speak 2 languages! it is not right to assume people will speak English, and now i wish i was bilingual in French, but never too late to learn :
Swedfinn said at 2:49 a.m. on Oct 1, 2009: Languages are the key to communication and it opens many door that unless remain locked. I have stusied russian for 2 years and I dont speak it, yet, but it is funny to hear russian spoken and suddenly realize I understood what they were saying! Translations are always translations. Somebody said once that the main reason for wars is in bad interpreters and translations. I am looking forward to see Your french comments here on Tabblo!
Swedfinn said at 4:16 a.m. on Oct 13, 2009: YES; " I will hang my cam on a weeping willow tree, and may the world go very well with thee!"(From there i a tavern in the town, slightly modified.)

Anke
