World's first overwater oil well was drilled on Caddo Lake in 1911.
 
Certainly a big fire in the woods.

I really liked this photo.
 
After all my visits to the lakes, now I understand better why people in Louisiana have so many boats.

Fabio, this is a beautiful Tabblo, andI love the accompanying captions. My favourite pictures are those of the bald cypress trees, I think it is a mazing the way they thrive with their feet in the water!! I really loke the last picture too.

Não me surpreendo mais com suas fotos sei que sempre virão lindas antes de abrir já imagino e penso que surpresa o Fábio nos reservou...e não erro mesmo estas são maravilhosas, me diga este lago tem áreas de inundações frequentes? Estas árvores com água cobrindo a raíz... Mas de todas a 10 é minha. Abraços e novamente parabéns.

Anke said in one of her last marvelous tabblos that the hours spent in the night in the preparation of a tabblo are more than compensated when, in the morning, we receive such kind comments. Solange, Obrigado pelo carinho em comentar as fotos da Louisiana. Sinto necessidade de compartilha-las com todos voces. Nao faco nada demais - apenas aciono a maquina. Nao conheco muito sobre o regime de aguas do lago, mas acredito que e' sujeito a frequentes inundacoes, pelas marcas que vi ontem e tambem pela vegetacao. Sua observacao foi otima! Abracos e tenha uma otimo domingo com sua familia.

Fabio, parabéns por mais um tabblo verde e bonito. Eu acompanho a Solange: quando aparece um tabblo do Fábio, já penso em natureza espalhada em grandes fotos. Fotos belíssimas, tabblo igualmente belo.

Liliana, este lago e' o maior em extensao no sul dos Estados Unifos. Nao sei qual a origem, mas existem enchentes. As arvores devem estar no solo, mas se adaptam aos niveis de agua que variam.
