JOSHUA & DEN: Thank you for dropping by. Glad you like the photos :)

TITA RACHEL: It was tiring, but it was so much fun too... the view that was waiting for us when we reached the rim of the crater was spectacular, and the swim in the crater was very refreshing too. Of course, everyone was dead tired by the time we reached Manila ;)

JESUS: Gracias. Esa foto es tambien mi favorito de este album.

Absolutely gorgeous shots! Nicely done - a VERY well deserved Tabblo of the Day! All these Tabblos coming out of the Philippines are really making me think it's a place I'd like to visit some day...

Eduardo.affonso said at 7:03 p.m. on Aug 19, 2009:
Countless ohs and ahs are not enough! Myles, you overdid yourself again.
Hope you will include this trek among the surprises you are preparing for my future Pinoy vacations (don't worry, I can walk for 20 minutes, and even a few seconds more).

I did't know Pinatubo was so quiet, peaceful and beautiful. All I knew of it was from its (her? his? are volcanoes male or female in Tagalog?) bad days. Your photos are magnificent (as always).
Snooway said at 7:55 p.m. on Aug 19, 2009:
congrats on TOD. you had an amazing trip. the shadows are fun, the crater lake made me go AH and the last two shots are fabulous. great shots!!!

Yaaay! Finally! My Kung Fu and Ballet shots!

If (big IF) we decide to do the 2 (?) hour hike again, let's start out EARLIER
Mrsfabulous said at 9:00 p.m. on Aug 19, 2009:
Thank you, everyone! I haven't been online since my last reply, and it was a really great thing to wake up to TOD and all of your comments! :)

ROBERT: Seeing how you love taking trips with your 4x4, you were on my mind as I was composing this tabblo :)

CONNIE: What a trek indeed!! And you can see by my choice of footwear (my poor crocs were certainly not made for this!) that I am an amateur trekker (always will be it seems) and my poor feet (and crocs) certainly took a beating on this trip... but it was so much fun nevertheless.

ANDREAS: It really IS amazing when you think about how much damage the eruption left so many years back, and how beautiful and peaceful it looks now. I am so excited for you and your future trek. If you let me know early enough, I can provide the buko pie :)

CHARLES: That shot is a favorite, I posted it in my other tabblo (Mount Pinatubo) which consisted of my first attempts at creating HDR images. Thank you for joining his virtual ttour :)

DEB: Everything about this trek was amazing to me... the scenery, the skies, and most of all, the patience of my companions (we had a 10 year old with us!!) AND our guides and the 4x4 drivers. They all made this adventure a very memorable one.
Mrsfabulous said at 9:21 p.m. on Aug 19, 2009:
NOE: How do I describe what I felt when I got that first glimpse... awe.. amazement.. too many words... one thing's for sure, it made me forget how tired I was from all the trekking we had to do to get there :)

FABIO, MIKE, NEUSINHA, DEN, PAT: Thank you for taking this tour with me! I am glad you enjoyed it! *Hugs*

AUBS: Don't worry, you'll get there! :) I have to warn you though about footwear... do NOT trek in flipflops or crocs. Get some proper trekking shoes, OR take your oldest pair of sneakers (something you don't mind throwing away after because you just might lose the soles along the way)!!

GAMS: This is one of those places where you can't NOT take good pictures... everything you point your camera at, even without looking thru the viewfinder, is alive and so amazing!

RHONDA: I am glad you and your son enjoyed the tour :)

PAM: Whoa! Five stars! :) Thank you!!

ROSANE, DOREEN, ANNELIES: Yes, yes... I had great company, the place was fantastic... it WAS a very good trip. Thank you for your comments!

MERCI (RANJIT): Let's do it again!!! :D

EDUARDO: Your itinerary is getting longer... LOL! I am excited for you (and Andreas, and Aubs) to take this trip! Yeah, 20 minutes is enough... if you're Incredible Hulk. LOL!

SUE: Thank you! It WAS an amazing trip, indeed.

Thank you, everyone!
Lifequest22 said at 9:24 p.m. on Aug 19, 2009:
This tabblo is full of countless OOHS and AHS. The trek to reach the crater is definitely worth it. How lucky you are to have such a beautiful part of the world so close to home. Congrats on TOD.
Mrsfabulous said at 9:27 p.m. on Aug 19, 2009:
SEAN: I am pretty sure YOU would enjoy this trip! I hope you will visit the Philippines someday, I am excited to see the pictures you'll take :)

BIDAY: What 2-hour hike??? It must have been at least 3 hours!!! Hahaha! But yes, I agree, let's do this again!!
bidayc@***.com said at 9:40 p.m. on Aug 19, 2009:
Took us three hours?!!! No wonder we took the jeep back. I remember we all decided to take the trip to AND from the crater, and halfway through the hike, we all changed our minds (didn't matter how much the jeep ride cost us!)
Tala13 said at 10:42 p.m. on Aug 19, 2009:

BIDAY: Yes, neneng, I'm pretty sure it was at least three hours! Remember how hungry we were when we got there, and how we were also too tired to get started with our meal? Hahaha!

IA: Thank you very very (100x) much!! I'm excited about your prenup too!

BOBBIE, DAN, ROD: Thank you :) It was a really good adventure and I'm glad I got to relive it and share it through this tabblo.

JAMES: I took these pictures the day before my HDR lesson with you. I remember you telling me that I was sunburnt ("sunog" was the word, I think) .... now you know why. I'm glad I followed Leng's advice and shot the entire thing in RAW (although back then, I still didn't know why I was shooting in RAW, hahaha!!).
