Mário Cravo Neto was one of the most important Brazilian photograpahers.
He died last week, at 62.

LILIANA: Alguém disse (e eu concordo) que o Mário Cravo não fotografava o religioso, mas o místico. Nem sempre em preto e branco, mas sempre com a mesma luz magnífica.

However, I remember having seen the second to the last photo a long time ago. I had not seen it for at least a decade but I still remembered having seen it before. That is what makes a photograph great....it works its way magically into your brain and it stays there forever !

CHARLES: The photo you mention (second to the last) is Cravo`s most famous work, and it is a really powerful image.
