The Sleeping Giant

It's amazing the things that new friends bring into our lives. I had met Kevin B. only 3 short weeks before we went on this little adventure. He spoke of the cave in Palos Verde CA, the colors, landscape, and pure beauty of it all. I knew that I had to be a part of it.

It was a great exploration of a place I had never seen before. I want to thank Kevin for letting me into his very cool location, and sharing some good tools.

Kevin is a ninja with a camera.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What I didnt know is that this cave had a face! My Imagination runs wild some times, so I did my best to show what I saw. I named it Smuggles the sleeping Giant.

Aaron, what an awesome Tabblo! And your very first one--what a great eye you have! So interesting the different shots two photographers get at the same location. That super-wide shot of the mouth of the cave (below right of your first image here) is terrific! And of course, "Ninja Kevin" is a hoot. I think my fave is the fish-eye slow-shutter next to "Smuggles" (also, cool . . . and kinda creepy). Thanks so much for sharing!! This is terrific!

EXCELLENT PHOTOGRAPHY, NICE USE OF SHUTTER SPEED IN THE WATER SCENES AND WIDE, FISHEYE LENS TOO. THE COLOR TREATMENT IS AWESOME TOO..CONGRAT...AND WELCOME TO TABBLO, WILL BE LOOKING FORWARD TO FUTURE ONES.

Superb pictures!I particularly like the crab, I think it is the way just the claws are highlighted against the general darkness of the water and rocks.!
