Caorle is a village near Venice.

Today lies on the Adriatic coast, but it was an island.

Borgo marinaro, a pochi chilometri da Venezia,

oggi sul litorale Adriatico, era originariamente un'isola.

La sua nascita risale al romano I secolo a.C. quando era chiamato Caprulae.

Fu porto commerciale e militare sotto la Repubblica di Venezia, il suo declino seguì la caduta della Serenissima  e divenenne palude, sino alle bonifiche di inizio novecento.

Sono i colori delle isole della laguna. Bei particolari di porte e finestre; le mie preferite sono pero' gli intrecci delle reti e delle corde e le barche in secca. Confesso ! non ho mai visto neanche Caorle! What a shame !

Quando l'estero sara' per me inaccessibile per ragioni anagrafiche (ci manca poco), prendero' i tuoi Tabblos come guida per siti viciniori. Ciao

totally enjoyed tis tabblo from beginning to end, the windows, the warm colours (THAT yellow THAT blue!!) the small fishing boats, the shells... simply beautiful photography.
