Grandchildren!

Julie had fun making cookies and licking the beaters, then she had to help with the dishes!

Julie and James are always lots of fun when they come to visit. Playing with toys, reading books, singing, rocking, no matter we do I always treasure the time I spend with them.

How precious! It's good to help children learn early that we always clean up after ourselves. Especially little boys so they can help when they are grown.

My youngest son Daniel said and amazing thing to me a few weeks ago. I had been helping him get his home ready to sell and we were talking about the chores the boys used to do and he turned to me and said, "Even though I fussed about having to do chores, I'm really glad (and appreciative) you taught us how to take care of ourselves." (That is not a direct quote, but close.)

I was shocked to say the least. Kids just don't say those things. Later, it made me feel good to know I had done something right. Even though I didn't think anything about it. I was just trying to teach the boys how to care for themselves.

You are doing an amazing job with your grand children. You should be proud! Shyrell
