The expressions on the faces of those wearing the red hats (sorry, I don't know the correct word) seem so focused and serious. What they are doing must mean a lot to them, and it seems to me that they are completely in that moment, unable to be distracted, almost as if in a meditative state, or Zen state. I see that a lot in your photos of Japanese parades and ceremonies, and I believe, through your work, I'm getting something of an understanding of the Japanese culture. Thank you.

The woman in the first photo is very beautiful, but with respect to Annelie's comment, I don't see her as being expressionless. What I see on her face is something directed inward. I just can't read it anymore than that is all. And by the way, your dof in these seem perfect to me. :)
