99 Years Old

My grandmother turned 99 in February 2008. She still lives alone in Deerfield, MA where she tends her garden. Her eyesight is poor, so she has to be close to the ground to pull the weeds.  She's quite amazing!

Grandma is always happy to have family around, even when she can't hear well. Just having her house filled with people makes her happy!

She is so respectable ! Why does she live alone ? We in India respect our Elders a lot and we do not
keep them lonely when they're old, they need our love and care. I wish a very Happy and Healthy

My grandmother has been a strong woman all her life. She even wore the pants in the family. Her strength and love of God keeps her alive and well. Setu, She is not alone. While she has the house to herself, he has lots of family around her. She has no desire to move from her home into someone else’s home. She has lived in her house for over 75 years. She keeps busy every day with family and friends visiting or when she goes to the senior center to meet her friends for activities and lunch. She is well respected in her town by both family and friends. She’s more active than my mother. Thank you for your blessings. Monica
