Such is possible to see everywhere. At us too. Is very sad. This man and dog the largest friends in the world. And the people turn away. It is too a pity and it is a shame. A remarkable photo! Very strong impression.

My heart goes out to these people, if only we could help all of them. Very sad indeed.

It always amazes me that as poor & hungry as they are, they have a dog... I think they just need "someone" who will love them despite their circumstances... very sad... but what to do?? Excellent photo Edite... it will give us all pause & make us think as we celebrate our freedom & prosperity...

This reminds me of my friend: he's got 2 dogs, lives in Vienna, and in y few years I can imagine him in the place of the man in the picture. Or could it be me? Perhaps I feel just the same; a nice man, a gentle man, lost here in humiliation! Why?? Has all the world gone crazy? Have all turned blind? Ema, your view brought it all to us, thank you!

He's homeless but he's blessed with a friend. Nice picture!

This is very sad, but touching as well. He has very little, but he is sharing what he does have with his dog. What can we do? It is such a large problem yet only one of many problems in this world today. I think the saying "each one, reach one" is very good. If we, as individuals try to fix everything, we cannot, but we can, probably, each reach one ...

Reminds me of a scene from John Grisham's novel 'The Street Lawyer' of which I cried everytime I reread the book.

There but for the Grace of God go thee and me! Tragic and yet at the same time..the heart feels!

sad but true... at least he has a friend...
Pkeener said at 12:37 p.m. on Jul 10, 2008:
a universal problem. sad and touching, as Marci says. He is sharing and that must be good for his spirits. Thank you Edite. People don't look because they cant deal with their own feelings of guilt and shame.
