Venus Platform

Their sacred tree.

My favourite part of the entire complex was the El Caracol which served as an observatory. Here the Mayans learned about the astronomy, developed their calendar system, and predicted sacred astronomical events sacred to their god.

La Iglesia - a small temple

One is fallen

Templo de los Guerreros (Temple of the Warriors)
