[ dreaming in a bowl ]

someone I saw at a glance

in a foreign city

reminded me of the dreams I had

and forgot on a table

like a pear forgets  itself

sleeping in a bowl

like a river sleeps

dreaming in the pear’s flesh

like the sun forgets itself in the shadow

sleeping in a chair

someone who smiled at a glace

in a foreign city

reminded me of the laugh I had

and forgot among my teeth

like a pear forgets itself

dreaming in a bowl

alguém que vi de passagem

numa cidade estrangeira

lembrou os sonhos que eu tinha

e esqueci sobre a mesa

como uma pera se esquece

dormindo numa fruteira

como adormece o rio

sonhando na carne da pera

o sol na sombra se esquece

dormindo numa cadeira

alguém sorriu de passagem

numa cidade estrangeira

lembrou o riso que eu tinha

e esqueci entre os dentes

como uma pera se esquece

sonhando numa fruteira

um gosto de sol  [ a taste of sun ]

Thanks, LINDA! I took these photos last Sunday morning, before some of these "models" became my breakfast... This song is one of my favorites, and I do appreciate some of its images: the sun forgetting itself in a chair, the pear dreaming in its bowl, the laugh I once had and forgot among my teeth.

ROBYA: Yes, I tried to find some kind of abstraction, to explore some details, the contrasting colors. I still have to learn how to manage some tools of my cam, but it was nice to spend some time photographing my breakfast.

The lyrics are brillant.

since they're lyrics, you should add this tab to Music Madness Studio group.

LINDA: My translation is very poor (the rhythm is gone, the rhymes are lost forever...). This song is terrific, but I couldn't find any file (on Youtube) to attach to this tabblo and let you listen to it.

the colors of the fruits are sooooo appetizing and filled with the joy of sunshine! and the song - i thought it was a poem you had written yourself - is as sweet and happy-hearted as the fruits. i think you translated it extremely well!

This is a work of art. I loved the yellow of the pears with the blue and then as I was scrolling down the page the red of the apples took my breath away! Fantastic!
