JoanW said at 11:56 p.m. on Nov 28, 2006: Great snow pictures Noreen. I particularly like the two large ones, especially the first, where the snow laden branches show so well against that leaden grey sky. Another really good one is where the dog is in the distance and the branches above form an arch at the top. I like your choice of blue for the background in this case, as it enhances the white in the pics, and also the bits of blue sky, here and there. Probably totally shocked all the West Coasters in BC, and I bet the children ae having a wonderful time. We lived in the Montreal area for 27 years before moving just over the border to Eastern Ontario, and we still get the same snowy winters here as we did there. It's not too bad when you are retired and don't have to go out to work. Just sit in front of the fire with a good book and relax.... Cheers JoanW

Hollyridger said at 12:11 a.m. on Nov 29, 2006: Thanks Joan for your nice comments. You are so right about the joys of retirement and not having to go to work. I love every minute of it! My driveway is still not completely shovelled so the car sits in the garage until the rains forecast for the weekend, wash it all away. Then I will have my photos to remind me of the incredible beauty the snow brings.

ChrisN said at 5:19 p.m. on Nov 29, 2006: Absolutely perfect! Blue sky and snow, what more can you wish for this time of the year(atleast in the north!) We never get this kind of snow in Denmark. Here it rains, rains, rains and then it rains a bit more. You live in a beautiful spot. Nice photos!

Engelgrafik said at 8:45 a.m. on Nov 30, 2006: it's difficult to take photos that represent snow really well, and you have done it... I'm really impressed. Even your photos of people in the snow look colorful and vibrant, almost like it was shot in a studio. Amazing.

Tigger74 said at 9:55 p.m. on Nov 30, 2006: The snow scene with the blue sky and white clouds is spectacular! I love snow scenes--I just don't like being caught during the snow or namely a blizzard. I still remember the last two blizzards in NY and as beautiful as it was, it was horrible trying to get home.

Slowly but surely this once-every-ten-years-in-this-part-of-the-world, magical snowfall is beginning to slowly melt and shrink and finally I managed to dig out my driveway today so things are returning to normal. I know I shall cherish my snow tabblos for years to come. Flash, perhaps my neighbourhood has a double because you are in Colorado and I am in British Columbia! Do takes some pictures and post them!

LatentE said at 12:34 p.m. on Dec 19, 2006: Beautiful images. I know that conditions have to be just right for snow to cling to trees like that and those circumstances (just around freezing) usually mean the snow will melt away quickly. A great grab of that fleeting beauty.
